Monene Mamabolo was appointed CEO of AgriAid SA in early February 2013. She provides leadership, oversees the implementation of the organisation’s strategy and procedures, and engages with funders and other stakeholders including the National Department of Health and farmers.
She spans over 20 years within management in the NGO sector. Her capacity of speciality is in the Social Sciences, Political Sciences and Organisational Development. Monene holds a honours degree in Development and Policy from the University of South Africa and is currently studying towards her MBA at UNISA.
Monene has been extensively involved in the development of HIV/AIDS organisational policies, capacity building, and advocacy programmes.
Apart from captaining AgriAid SA, she loves reading, politics, soccer and tennis.
