Dr Thapelo Maotoe


Dr Thapelo Maotoe is the current Chair of AgriAids SA. Dr Thapelo Maotoe is a University of Cape Town (UCT) graduate currently working as Strategic Programme Development Manager at Right to Care. Dr Maotoe previously worked for USAID in the Care and Treatment Division where he provided policy advice, normative and technical guidelines and also managed PEPFAR technical projects.

Deputy Chair

Mvuyisi April a holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (UWC) with Honours (UNISA) as well as a Masters of Management degree in Public Policy (WITS). He plans to pursue doctoral studies with the Wits School of Governance focusing on the ability of local government to deal with the macroeconomic challenges South Africa is facing.

Gretha Kostwinder is the founder of AgriAids SA. She has raised the NGO in 2005 when she was still the Agricultural Counsellor at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Pretoria. It was in this capacity that she was confronted with the needs and worries of farmers about the lack of care and support for HIV positive farm workers

Rofhiwa Thavhanyedza

Board Member

Rhofhiwa holds a national diploma in forestry from Fort Cox College of Agriculture and Forestry. He currently works for Venteco Foods SOC. He joined this company in 2006 as a field manager. In 2010 he was promoted to a plantation manager, a position he currently holds.
